Race 11, Lap 9, "The Post-Halloween Recovery Week" Edition (11/9/15)

Area: Sicuani   Comp: Morales

Dearest Everyone,

-We went looking for less actives with our ward directory this week. That involved a lot of knocking on doors, and at one point, we knocked on a door on an inconspicuous street we'd never even seen, and our pension came out. Potentially she has a secret second home, where she poses as a less active.

-President came! We had interviews with him and he spoke in Stake Conference this weekend. It was an adventure.

-During the interviews, a crazy homeless woman entered in the church building, and spent hours bathing in the woman's bathroom. I can't even express the smell of that bathroom once she left (I helped clean the bathroom).

-It was Sicuani's anniversary, and the streets were absolutely full of people parading, which is forced upon all children and government workers. It was a great way to celebrate their lack of progress by not working!

-Our ward actually has mutual! That's the first time I've seen that down here. All they do is have a bonfire and eat hotdogs each week, but the youth love it and it's actually becoming really successful. Kaching!

Anyways, it's been a good week here in Sicuani! Have fun! Don't die! Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,
Elder Steele
